Hoplite Analytics offers neatly designed maps which help you to visualize your data in a smooth and clear manner. Already existing vector map layers can be used which a database with your data is then connected to. Custom designed map layers with polygons in accordance with your specifications can also be created. At Hoplite Analytics we use the open source software QGIS in order to accomplish this.
Helps You Find Spatial Patterns from Your Data
Custom designed maps can help you gain new insight from your data that would otherwise go unnoticed by projecting your activities data using geolocation. A spatial perspective enables you to more efficiently discern aspects such as centers of activity, where your most valuable customers are located and how transport lanes impact your business.
Your Projected Data Combined with Satellite Imagery
In order for your visualizations to better connect with the reality on the ground, satellite imagery can be added in order to showcase the underlying terrain. A perspective involving terrain is often useful since it is not always the case that the projected numerical data captures every important aspect when for example choosing a good location in a new city.
GIS Map Layers Connected to API Services
When working with QGIS it is also possible to connect the map layers to API services in order to project real time spatial data. One such example is the one below where the real time status of the largest stock markets in various countries are projected onto a map layer. Since markets have different opening hours we are able to get a quick overview of the most possible turn of the market for the current day based on the markets which have already opened in the rest of the world.
That will of course vary case by case, but if we see that the markets have plummeted all across Asia during the morning then it will often be the case that the markets in Europe and The Americas will follow suit. This can be done by running a custom made python script from the QGIS program as such or as standalone program.
