In the following sections I have put together some SERP information in regards to a few of my articles.
SERP for My “The Danger of Common Law Marriage in Colombia” Article
We are going to start out with the SEO content writing SERP results for my article “The Danger of Common Law Marriage in Colombia”. The screenshots are taken on the 11th of February 2023. Note that results before and after that date might be somewhat different as ranking does change back and forth.
Google SERP
From the screenshot below we see that this article is ranked 4th for the search term “common law marriage colombia”.
The SERP results for this SEO content writing post are from the 11th of February 2023, and shows that it ranks 4th for the search term “common law marriage colombia”. The search results for other SEO content writing articles in this list might however be written on other dates.
At the moment of writing this the SEO content writing article “The Danger of Common Law Marriage in Colombia” didn’t have any significant backlinks, only internal linking. The ranking should hence almost fully be attributed to the way the SEO content writing article has been optimized.
Bing SERP
The same search term is then used on Bing. Let us look at the results below.

My SEO content writing article “The Danger of Common Law Marriage in Colombia” is ranked 8th on Bing on the 11th of February 2023. Not as good as the SERP results on Google, but still among the top ten search results.
DuckDuckGo SERP
The search term “common law marriage colombia” is now used on DuckDuckGo. We can see the results in the screenshot below.
This time the seo content writing article is ranked 3rd. The two sites above are two different expat forums and info sites.
SERP for My “How to Report a Crime in Colombia” Article
Now we are going to take a look at the SERP for the search term “how to report a crime in Colombia”. The screenshots are taken on the 11th of November. The ranking prior to and after that date might of course differ slightly.
Google SERP
As can be seen in the screenshot below my article How to Report a Crime in Colombia is among the top ten search results and ranked fifth (fourth) for the mentioned search term.
The entire SERP up until the position of my seo content writing article is shown in the same image for increased confidence and transparency. But that means you might need to zoom in somewhat if you are on a mobile device.
At the time of writing this text (11th of November 2022) the SEO content writing article in question furthermore didn’t even have any significant backlinks. Thus its ranking should mostly be attributed to the SEO optimization of the post as such.
Now, let us take a more detailed look at the search result:
- Position #1 is held by the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.
- Position #2 is held by the Office of the Attorney General of Colombia.
- Position #3 is a UN agency.
- Position #4 is a law firm in Medellín that is well-known among the expat community.
- Position #5 is held by my mentioned article.
Hence the only pages that rank higher (#1-4) are ones which belong to organizations that are very well-established in the legal field, and which most likely have got a ton of backlinks.
And since the first result is actually a featured search result and not a traditional organic search result then we can just as well say that the ranking is fourth.
A zoomed in version of the screenshot, divided into two images, is shown below:
Bing SERP
When searching for the same term on Bing the results were even more promising as the article was ranked #1 after the featured result.
In this case the article was even ranked higher than the page of the Office of the Attorney General of Colombia (fiscalia.gov), which is of course the foremost authority when it comes to legal matters in the country.
DuckDuckGo SERP
When entering the same search term on DuckDuckGo the results are also interesting, as can be seen in the screenshot below.
On DuckDuckGo the Hoplite Analytics article (me) is ranked #1 and even surpasses the other well established organizations mentioned earlier.
